The Corridor Pipeline system, historically associated with Terasen Pipelines, is a critical infrastructure network in Alberta, Canada, designed to transport bitumen from the Athabasca Oil Sands Project to Edmonton. The system comprises about 1,000 kilometres of pipeline, connecting Fort McMurray, Alta., to the Scotford upgrader near Edmonton. The system includes both the large-diameter bitumen line and a smaller 12-inch line for returning diluent, optimizing the transportation of heavy oil. On June 15, 2007, Inter Pipeline Fund purchased the Corridor Pipeline System from Terasen Pipelines Inc. (a subsidiary of Kinder Morgan) for approximately $760 million.
