Express Pipeline- Mainline

Express Pipeline is a 1,263 km line moving crude from Hardisty, AB to Casper, WY (310,000 bpd capacity), serving U.S. Rockies refineries. Progress Land provided end-to-end land services.

The Express Pipeline is a 1,263-kilometer (785-mile) pipeline that transports light, medium, and heavy crude oil from Hardisty, Alberta, to Casper, Wyoming, with a capacity of 310,000 barrels per day. Owned by Enbridge and operational since 1997, it primarily serves refineries in the U.S. Rockies region. Route: Connects major supply hubs in Western Canada (Hardisty, Alberta) to U.S. markets (Montana, Wyoming).

Alliance Pipeline Project

1995 - 2002

The Canadian portion of the Alliance Pipeline is a 1,561 km natural gas pipeline transporting liquids-rich gas from northwestern Alberta and northeastern British Columbia to the U.S. border.

Now owned by Pembina Pipeline Corporation. The project includes 338 km of 1,067 mm (42-inch) pipe and 1,221 km of 914 mm (36-inch) pipe. Project cost 4.6 Billion. Progress Land was the chosen land consulting partner to provide beginning to end services for the project.

Thick Silver Pipeline/CLPL Expansion Project

The Thick Silver Pipeline Project was approved in 1998 and constructed in 2000 to support increased blended bitumen production.
The Thick Silver Pipeline Project was approved in 1998 and constructed in 2000 to support increased blended bitumen production from Imperial Oil’s Cold Lake operations, with delivery to Hardisty, Alberta. The project comprised new mainline pipelines (36″ and 13″), laterals, and associated surface facilities. NOTE AI is saying 250 km for each line and 22 km for lateral line. – NEB Pipeline LLoydminster AB-SK. Progress Land was the chosen land consulting partner to provide beginning to end services for the project.

Alberta Clipper Pipeline Project & Southern Lights Pipeline Project

2006 - 2014
Oil & Gas

Enbridge Pipelines Ltd., Alberta Clipper Project was a new 36 (inch), 1607 kilometre (1000 mile) pipeline that originated near Hardisty, Alberta and connected to Enbridge’s existing terminal in Superior, Wisconsin.

This project followed primarily along existing pipeline rights-of-way. Project cost 3.3 Bilion. The Southern Lights PIpeline Project was an international Diluent pipeline from Manhattan Illinois to Edmonton AB, consisting of 16 to 20 inch pipeline construction. The Canadian portion of the project was 1,465 Kilometers in length, utilizing much of the existing Enbridge Line 13 existing pipeline, with modification at existing pump stations.Project cost 2.2 Billion. Progress Land was the chosen land consulting partner to provide beginning to end services for the project.

Trans Mountain Expansion Project

2012 - 2026

The Trans Mountain pipeline, operated by Trans Mountain Corporation, is Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast, stretching 1,150 km from Edmonton, AB, to Burnaby, B.C..

The recently completed 34.2 Billion dollar expansion (TMX), which became operational in May 2024, nearly tripled capacity to 890,000 barrels per day to improve access to international markets. The expansion project included twinning the existing pipeline, constructing 12 new pump stations, 19 new storage tanks, and adding three new marine berths at the Westridge Marine Terminal. Progress Land was the chosen land consulting partner to be an extension of the land department providing beginning to end services for the project.
