- Progress Land opens their doors in October as land consultants with 7 employees and three clients; AEC Pipelines Ltd., Amoco Canada Ltd. and Pan Canadian Petroleum Limited.
1985
- Acts as agent for Right of Way acquisition for BC Telecom
- Acts as agent for Crown Mineral sales for clients
- Begins to provide services to Municipal Governments for fencing Right of Ways, sewer lines and road widenings
1986
- Undertakes first land assembly project for the AEC Lacorey Terminal
- Begins work on first NEB project for Interprovincial Pipeline in Manitoba
- Enters the utility service sector with AGT’s fibre optics right of way from Claysmore to Elk Point, St. Paul & Cold Lake
1987/1988
- Completes Right of Way acquisition from Edmonton to BC border for AGT’s segment of Telecom Canada fibre optics line
1989
- Celebrates first 5 years in business
1990
- Acquires telecommunication tower sites
1993
- Commences first Greenfield NEB Pipeline Project (Express Pipeline)
1994
- Celebrates first decade in business
1995
- Begins work on the Alliance Pipeline Project
1996
1997
- Hosts first K-Days Breakfast, now known as our annual Brat & Brew Luncheon
1998
- Expands services into powerline acquisition for Drayton Valley Power Corporation at Jarvie
1999
- Celebrates 15 years of being in service as a land consulting company
2000
- Provides service to CNR for spur line acquisition
- Creates joint partnership to form Progress Land International for the Alaska Gas Pipeline Project
2001
- Progress Land International undertakes early Public Consultation for the Alaska Gas Pipeline Producers
- Begins work on Pembina Pipeline's AOSPL Stage 3 Looping Project
2002
- One of the founding partners of Progress Land, David Speer retires as President after 18 years with Progress
2003
- Provides land acquisition services for North Red Deer Water Services Commission
- Hosts first annual Camping Trip for all employees
- Bernie Tchir is elected and becomes the 2nd President in Progress Land’s history
2004
- Celebrates 20 years in business
- Celebrates Bernie Tchir’s 20 years of dedicated service with the company and he becomes our first CEO
- Becomes the agent for Telus Communication Inc.’s as the Province of Alberta Rights of Way department
- One of the partners of Progress Land, Dinah Almond retires as Vice President after 20 years with Progress.
- Elliott Friedrich becomes the 3rd President in Progress Land’s history
2005
- Begins land assembly project for for Shell Canada Limited in Alberta Industrial Heartland for upgrader site
- Begins working for Premier Horticulture leasing Peat Moss Boggs
2006
- Begins land assembly for North American Oil Sands Corporation (now StatoilHydro Canada Ltd.) for the upgrader site in Alberta Industrial Heartland
- Acknowledges Darcy Harty for his 10 years of service with the company
- Begins work on the Enbridge Athabasca Waupisoo Pipeline Project
- Begins work on Enbridge’s Alberta Clipper & Southern Lights Pipeline Projects
2007
- Awards BP Canada Energy Company free services for being our 10,000th job
- Acknowledges Jason Svenningsen for his 10 years of service with the company
2008
- Unveils the new company logo
- For the second time in just over 10 years we grow to over 50 employees
- IRWA 15 year Sponsor of the Curling Funspiel
2009
- Celebrates our Silver Anniversary in business and Bernie Tchir’s 25 years with the company
- Launch of our new website
- Acknowledges Elliott Friedrich, Phil Becker & Dennis Worobec for their 20 years of dedicated service
